Description
Warriors are the heavy tank of Midgard. They are some of the hardiest and most skilled tanks in the game, and are the one large shield user in Midgard. Being a Midgard Tank they get free non-spec two-handed weapons, which makes them the most flexible of all the Heavy Shield Tanks, being able to switch between Shield for higher defense, and a Two-Handed weapon for higher damage.
Character Creation
While on Gaheris most Warriors are Shield Tanks, the choice of race can effect how well the tank plays that role. A Kobold will have almost the highest Dexterity possible for a shield tank, and this can produce a slight, but noticable improvement on the block rates, particularly when gaurding a PBAER.
Trolls have the highest Strength in the game, and will have the highest damage possible for a Warrior, but with a lower chance to block and parry.
Dwarves have higher Constitution which will result in a tank with more Hit Points, while the Norse are a little more evenly distrobuted.
There is litte reason to choose a Valkyn, other then personal preference as there's not much in their stats that makes them exceptional tanks, they'll hit a little faster then the rest, and block better then Trolls, Dwarves or the Norse, but they're low constitution makes them not as well suited for a tank.

Effects of Specialization
Being a straight up heavy tank makes the spec lines of a Warrior pretty obvious.
Weapon Specs such as Axe, Hammer and Sword will grant access to weapon styles, and increase weapon skill with that type of weapon. All three of these weapon specs are based on Strength for determining weapon skill and damage.
Shield will also grant access to weapon styles, and each level of shield gives a 0.5% better block rate. Dexterity also significantly effects a Warrior's block rate.
The Thrown weapon spec will increase weapon skill and damage with Throwing Weapons, however there is no styles or abilities associated with Throwing Weapons.
Parry will incrase parry rates by 0.5% with each level. Parry is also effect by Dexterity among other factors.
Suggested Speciailzations
There aren't too many ways to creatively spec a Warrior. It is possible to auto-train one but there is little reason too as the class already has plenty of spec points.
50 Sword/50 Shield/28 Parry is a fairly common spec, which will still give you quite a bit of offensive power when switching to a Two-Hander, but lots of defensive ability with Sword and Shield.
50 Shield/42 Parry/39 Sword is an extreme defensive oriented spec, that could be considered overkill. Keep in mind that because Parry is before Block in Combat Resolution, the more you Parry, the less you will block, something to keep in mind for reactionals. However, you will not be a worse guardbot for raising parry as the block/hit/miss ratio will be the same.
